Change the date format to the same as in Manager. ---

Hello, for years we have imported excel CSV files onto manager, but the last few days the system gave errors on the imports saying the following: “File you are trying to upload has ambiguous date format.” but no changes were made to the CSV excel file ? As you have not shown any of the data lines from the csv file, it is not possible to say what the problem might be ---

Check if your Excel spreadsheet has the same date format as you set in Manager ---

It would be better to show the csv file usjng Notepad or other text editor rather than Excel ---

Your line with 02/12/24 includes two times a **`"`** and also `()` which are not allowed in CSV files as they indicate other type of delimiter than comma. Remove these and it should be fine. ---

We removed that line from the CSV file and tried the import again, but we still received the same error. ---

Then it still deals with the date format. Please show the screenshot of your Manager date setting. Also ensure that you try different “Save as” formats. @NitaRTD can you send me your CSV to `lubos@manager.io` ? I will make some improvements. The issue is that `01/12/2024` could be interpreted as 1st December or 12th January. And the rest of your CSV file doesn’t really give any hint whether your date format is `dd/mm/yyyy` or `mm/dd/yyyy`. However I think I should make an educated guess and assume the import covers the shorter period in which case the system would assume the date is 1st December. ---

I experienced the same issue when importing transactions on 01/01/2025 but after additional transactions were added from 02/01/2025 the import was successful. ---
