Custom columns having mutiplication or division between columns after creating it to derive some cost or analysis

I have created some custom columns specially in the Inventory Kit for costing and evaluation purpose, this has been posted in the year 2019 “How to create custom field column for total” but hope things have changed and custom columns have also been upgraded can we do this calculation in the current senario.
