Current guide for batch operations?

It seems that the guide(s) for batch operations have been removed from the site.
I’m trying to import sales receipts from an external program, which I’ve done successfully in the past, but it seems that the field headings have changed (notably from “Lines.Amount” to “Lines.1.Amount”, etc.).
Is there an updated guide somewhere that can help me, in this case with “Batch Create”?
