I just noticed that many of my previously categorized transactions (batch created ones to be more specific) are now under suspense.
After digging in deeper, it turns out that simply referencing subsidiary accounts (like customers, suppliers, employees, special accounts, etc.) isn’t enough and the control account must be entered.
To me this seems redundant and counterproductive:
- Redundant since each subsidiary account is a child of 1 and only 1 control account so the control account info isn’t necessary.
- Counterproductive since this will result in subsidiary not matching control account; an error that wasn’t possible previously.
That is unless something else was brewing. I don’t know if there’s any reason behind this but I sincerely hope that the control-subsidiary account relationships are not being dropped entirely because that would be a true bummer.
@lubos could you please provide more insights on this change.
