You should not use the default account. You need to create a GST liability account, and a PST liability account. See this post:

In the Chart of Accounts you need to create 2 tax liability accounts: [image] Then assign each tax to its own account: [image] In the Summary and on the Balance Sheet the taxes will be listed seperately: [image]

The default account can not be used in transactions. See Tax reclaim for non-profit organisation

PST non-recoverable
Must the non-recoverable PST be tracked and reported? Or does it just get added to the price of a purchased item?
