Can we have a option where we can apportion the expense against two projects, some thing like 50% for one project and another 50% for another project … or against project in various percentages…
You can already do that, just add an expense line for each project, if you know the total for both in each line total you would type 0.5*total (=will result in 50% of the total).

If there is a provision during the allocation of the project against expenses,that would be relatively easy and helpful
I think you need to reverse your thinking, @edward_dileep. You are not allocating projects to expenses. You are allocating expenses to projects. Because you want to end up with distinct postings for separate portions of an expense, you need distinct line items.
