I run a furniture manufacturing company, and I would like my quotation to have photos of every item to help the clients visually, Is there is a way to do quotes that have photos for every item?

The only way you can achieve this currently is using Inventory Items.
I was surprised that this wasn’t possible using either Non-inventory Items or Custom Fields.
It is “almost” possible. The idea is you would create a custom field like this:
Then when you select “inventory item” or “non-inventory item”, it would copy image from item custom field to line item custom field.
It works like that with other custom field types but doesn’t work with images because line items don’t support image custom fields yet.
But do inventory and non-inventory items already supports pictures which can be inserted into documents on line item basis? If that is already possible then this will not be needed in my opinion
They do but image custom field is more flexible and more logical approach. The current mechanism where you can “attach” image to records (including items) was implemented before we had image custom fields.
Eventually everything will be driven by image custom fields.
That could definitely work. But I would consider the following:
- It flows from master record to lines like we already have
- The built in image field for inventory items is automatically upgraded to a custom field
