Adding "Grants" to Chart of Accounts

Hi Everybody,

When I add “Grants” as a “New Account” under the Settings>Chart of Accounts>Profit and Loss Statement>Income section, I have the following questions:
1). The Code is Optional, but do anyone have a standard list of codes I can use as an example?

2). Under the Cash Flow Statement drop-down menu, does Grants fall under “Operating activities” (in that being that a Government Grant are for a specific project), or should I select “Investing activities”, “Financing activities”, or “Cash & Cash equivalents”?

There is no universally accepted standard. Some tax jurisdictions impose one, so check with a local accountant. You could also conduct an internet search and easily find various examples.

But this is not a Manager topic, so I am closing the thread.
