Dear Team Good Day,
Can we have… (Sale Invoice) Action Column from History

in our Sales Invoice Screen…

Not sure what you are asking. When you click view on a sales invoice you can click history at the bottom of that view screen. This behaviour is similar to most view screens in other tabs.
Thank you for reply @eko
you are right, it take time to check individual invoices, if we have like this
![]()
we can view the Action of Sales Invoice which is much easier to check individual.
Still not clear what you are asking for, sorry
He wants to know who last worked on a Transaction and what action did that person perform. Was it Create action or that person Modified an existing transaction. He wants this information to be available on Sales invoice Tab as a column rather than going through the history of each transaction.
That is not possible. There can be many different history actions by different users per sales invoice, hence when you view the invoice you can have from one to many actions in the history of that single invoice.
I think he meant the latest action whether it is Create or Update and by whom.
Yes exactly.
So please see my answer, as an illustration for a single invoice with multiple history entries in a test business. It is not possible to display such in the generic tab list. History is about all actions taken and kind of audit tool while also can be used to undo wrong actions:
That is not what history is about and would not even be possible to implement. Although I understand the idea and also why it seems practical but it is not implementable.
I don’t think @lubos would find it hard to implement. I have great awe for the productivity and accomplishments of Lubos in implementing and enhancing Manager Accounting. And I can imagine a few ways it could be implemented.
I suppose from the user interface, you would be able to select Edit columns at the bottom, below all the sales invoices. And there would be edit and action columns you could select or deselect.
One question is how important this feature would be. Another question is what priority should this feature have relative to other pending features?
But you could also implement something like this without waiting for it to be built in because Manager allows you to add custom fields. If Manager is in English, you would go to the Settings tab on the left side. Look for Custom fields. You can assign the custom fields you create to forms such as the sales form. You can have multi-value fields for Create and Update. And you could have the user input his name or username into a text field. Or the user can enter the same by selecting his name or username from a multi-value field. The disadvantage is we are relying on the user to remember to enter his/her name and action. If Lubos implements this feature, you could more easily see who is responsible for an entry.
I think having this feature should not disturb users who don’t want the feature. The user and action columns could be deselected by default. If you want it, you can select it.
This looks like an AI response, for example we know Manager is in English
It is my own response, not AI-generated. I was supposing some readers might have Manager set to a right-to-left language. When set to such a language, the Settings tab might be on the right instead of the left. The boxes are in the same order as for us in English, just that they are in order from right-to-left, top-to-bottom instead of left-to-right, top-to-bottom.
