Account codes can be used to identify specific accounts in an overall identification scheme for the chart of accounts. To set account codes, go to the Settings tab, select Chart of Accounts and click Edit for an account or group:

Enter the desired alphanumeric content in the Code field and click Update:
Account codes will show in ovals under the Settings tab:

Account codes for control accounts can also be entered in the Settings tab on the Control Accounts page by clicking Edit for a control account.
