503 Service Unavailable

Dear Team,
I was using Service Edition of Manager Version 19.x.x now i have paid to get Latest version of Manager, After successful payment, I have received New Product Key.

After following all the steps under Upgrading Manager Server in URL : Ubuntu | Manager
Started getting 503 error. Please advice.

From 19.x.x to 21.11.x is huge jump.

I suggest you backup your data and then reinstall updates incrementally instead of one go.

I would consider this as well:

503 Service Unavailable error is not an error Manager Server will ever give.

If you are using Caddy, this would be error from Caddy if it can’t connect to Manager Server which would imply Manager Server not running at all.

Before migration I have taken all files of application data backup. So all businesses information was restored after migration from 19.x.x to 21.11.98. Just some confusions on uses and their permissions.

I am seeing 0000000000.manager file and moved it seperately but it’s not working(means users are not created in new version) @lubos any advice on this.

Yes your correct that’s an error from Caddy, i have resolved and could able to access business data, need advice on migration of users and their corresponding business and permissions

This is no longer in use in newer versions so just delete.

That file should contain list of users. If it doesn’t work, you will need to re-create users again.

Okay I’ll create users manually,
One last question @lubos, I have successfully migrated the accounts, its a direct jump from Version 19.5.22 to Version 21.11.98,
When i open business had to rename few business file names thats fine, Will i have any other issues later apart from this in terms of accounts or transactions. For now i am considering only USERS and there permissions are missing rest i got all the data.

@hmdaadil, no one can predict what problems you might encounter because of the particular information you have in your records. You say the data is present, so you have successfully migrated to the new version. If you have problems in the future, start a new topic. I am closing this one.
