The Invoice number field is not available on recurring purchase invoices. Nor are reference numbers available for recurring payslips or journal entries. So you cannot set up automatic or manual reference numbers. The identical problem was recently fixed on recurring sales invoices. It should be fixed for other recurring transaction forms, too.
